At Club Asturiano an official skating school was established in 2020 to provide new activities for their members. The sports club now counts two new divisions: ice hockey and figure skating who participate in national competitions in specific skating disciplines on real ice. Together, they count more than 100 students. They organize exchanges with other skating schools and even do training abroad now. As part of the monthly membership, ice skating enthusiasts can now enjoy the ice anytime and learn to skate in specialized group classes.
Tuxtla Guiterrez
The Skate Center Galerias Boulevard is located in the South Mexican town of Tuxtla Guiterrez. Located inside a mall, this rink received a lot of attention after opening before Christmas of 2023. Apart from the regular ticket sales, this institution decided to implement hockey and figure skating lessons for the many young habitants of their community, who usually do not get the chance to ice skate in the warm climate. The ecological ice rink has since attracted many visitors, both short- and long-term.
They offer hourly access and private lessons with professional figure skaters and hockey players to improve skating skills. With special promotions for birthdays or mother’s day or disco nights have brought them more attention even after the typical skating season.
